PROVIDEAN BRUCELOSIS

Ruminants

Composition:

Brucella abortus Strain 19 antigen, containing between 15 x 109 and 30 x 109 smooth phase viable cells per 2 ml dose.

Dosage and application routes:

Apply a 2 ml dose, subcutaneously, in the upper part of the neck (injection triangle). The lyophilized vaccine in vial N°1 should be mixed at the time of use with the sterile diluent supplied in vial N°2. Once reconstituted, shake actively until a completely homogeneous solution is obtained.

Suggested immunization schedule:

Prevention of bovine Brucellosis in calves between 3 and 8 months of age. The immunity conferred is for life. Contraindications: Do not administer in bulls or steers. Avoid administration in parasitized, weakened animals or with signs of infectious diseases.

Precautions

Infectious product. Sterilize or boil syringes and/or needles after use. Used containers should be discarded according to local legislation in force. Avoid all direct contact with the product, especially through blood, conjunctiva, skin lesions, or ingestion. In case of exposure or accident in humans, seek medical advice immediately and call the National Poison Center (Argentina): 0800-333-0160. Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals.

Warnings

Administer only under the supervision of the Veterinarian. In case of anaphylactic shock the Veterinarian should administer epinephrine at 1‰.

Storage

Store between 2º C and 8º C. Do not freeze. Keep away from light.
